ROCATEX FGS Ultimate Silicone is a low modulus, neutral curing, non-staining, anti-mould silicone sealant and adhesive with a smooth matt finish.
Suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, wetrooms, tiling, plumbing, sanitary installations, expansion joints, glazing, construction, roofing, natural stone, and marble applications.
Suitable for both interior and exterior use.
Application:
Surfaces must be dry, firm, and free from dust, grease, dirt, and contaminants. Porous surfaces should be primed before application.
Apply the sealant firmly into or along the joint.
- Minimum indoor joint size: 5 x 5mm
- Minimum outdoor joint size: 10 x 8mm (width x depth)
- For joints up to 30mm wide, the depth should be approximately half the joint width.
Smooth the sealant using a suitable tool and clean water or a non-staining water-based smoothing agent.
Approximate working time is 30 minutes (15 minutes for translucent).
Do not apply below 5°C or above 35°C.
Not Suitable For:
- Aquarium construction
- Mirror adhesive applications
- Permanent underwater use
- Plastics with poor silicone adhesion such as PE, PP, and PET
Yield:
Approximate coverage per 310ml cartridge:
- 5 x 5mm joint: approximately 12m
- 10 x 10mm joint: approximately 3m
Storage:
Store unopened, off the ground, in a cool, dry, frost-free environment.
Curing:
Curing time depends on temperature, humidity, and joint depth.
Under standard conditions (23°C / 50% relative humidity), a 10 x 10mm joint typically cures within 8–14 days.
Low temperatures, low humidity, and deeper joints may significantly slow curing.
Health & Safety:
Contains 2-butanone oxime and may cause an allergic reaction.
Translucent versions contain 3-aminopropyl compounds and biocides including Carbendazim and silver.
- Harmful if swallowed.
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
- If contact with eyes occurs, rinse immediately with water and seek medical attention.
- Use only in well-ventilated areas.
- Do not inhale vapours.
- Keep out of reach of children.
